The Fall Veggie Gardening Season is almost here! We have been teaching gardening workshops for the past 7 years and while we took a break from in person workshops last season due to Covid 19 we are happy to start this fall with a limited selection of in person workshops. Our first workshop of the season will be an Introduction to Veggie Gardening in South Florida with an emphasis on the tasks and info crucial to success in the FALL. Fall is the beginning of our growing season (its the opposite from the rest of the country) so this is the perfect time of year to refurbish your veggie garden that laid dormant through the summer, or start a new garden space. In preparation for building a new garden or replanting yours consider joining our workshop, where we walk you through the most common mistakes people make so uh... you don't have to make them too!

Saturday, November 13th
10am - 12 noon
Little River Coop Nursery @ AgriTrace Institute

This workshop is a 2 hour long lecture-style discussion of the following topics:

-how to asses your yard for optimum sun & pick a location
-about our unique seasons & our USDA plant hardiness zone

-organic soil amendments and how to choose the right ones for your garden
-planning your garden, what to plant where & when
-square foot gardening
-succession planting

After the lecture we open the workshop up to questions and attendees are welcome to explore the property or shop from our on site edible plant nursery.

Due to the intimate nature of the workshops we do not offer refunds for cancellations but we oftentimes have a waitlist so with enough warning we can try to replace you and then refund your payment.

Check out the info graphic provided for more information on how to use our sliding scale pricing model. The lowest price, our "institutional" price is for use by teachers at public schools who are incorporating gardening into their curriculum or anyone who is running or involved in a nonprofit organization focused on the intersection of social justice, the environment, food justice and/or sustainability.

Before attending please review the CDC guidelines for small and large gatherings. While the workshop will be taking place outdoors we do suggest that masks be worn by all attendees while not seated in the class. This includes during trips to the bathroom, while exploring the property or getting a tour of the greenhouse or any other time when you are socializing or moving around.
