Plants and the Skin; an herbal skincare workshop taught by Juliane Miklos of The Garden Jules
This product is currently sold out.
Join us on Saturday November 16th as we host this inspiring new workshop taught by tropical herbalist Juliane Miklos of The Garden Jules which focuses on the use of herbal plants to keep your skin healthy and happy. Many culinary herbs that we are used to encountering in the kitchen like rosemary & lemongrass also contain healing properties for the body and can be used to make a variety of skincare lotions and potions. In this class Juliane will lead us as we learn about 6 common and easy to grow herbs that we will then process into different types of skin medicine.
Holy Basil aka Tulsi
Spanish needle aka Bidens Alba
All plant material will be harvested from our nurseries exhibition & educational gardens during the class or brought fresh from Julianes herbal garden in Boca Raton. We will all get to know these powerful plant allies by touching, smelling & tasting while our teacher tells us about how to make the most of their medicinal properties. As a class we will then make our own hydrosol, infused oil & infused vinegar that each participant will leave with, to start their own at home skin apothecary.
This workshop is open to all ages, abilities and genders and will take place outside in the shade at our edible plant nursery in Allapattah. Due to the small size of our workshops we do not offer refunds however if you sign up and cant make it we will refund you if we can find a replacement for your spot.
