Winter Herbal Gift Making Extravaganza! Saturday December 10th
Join us on December 10th for an herbal gift making experience facilitated by the tropical herbalist Juliane Miklos of The Garden Jules. Jules, a born and bred South Floridian, has been studying herbalism with top experts in our region since 2017. Throughout all her studies she has tended and grown her own herbal garden which will always be one of her greatest teachers. Jules joined our Little River Nursery team back in April of this year and we’re so happy to have her here to share her plant knowledge with y’all in this workshop, in our nursery, and in many future herbal workshops!
This activity is going to be a bit different than our usual herbalism workshops. Every winter we herbal enthusiasts like to get together and craft homemade gifts for our loved ones while hanging out and enjoying the plant bounty and beautiful weather. So, we've decided to do this at the nursery, and you are invited! We will have different tables set up so that you can come over and join us in making 4 different herbal products. Keep them for yourself or dress them up and give them away as homemade holiday gifts! Together we will be making a dried herbal tisane (or tea as it’s more widely known), a herbal burn bundle, a herbal infused salt body scrub & you'll be blending your own Hydrosol. Once we made our goodies we will have lots of supplies like watercolors and other paints available for making their labels beautiful and uniquely you, so that they really sparkle as gifts. If you'd like to stick around and make more of one of the items you can do that too for an additional fee of 8-12$ per item.
Jules will also be set up with a table of her own homegrown and homemade herbal creations for sale for additional holiday gifts.
Choose to either join us from 11-1 or from 1-3pm. Bring a friend and make a fun day of it. Kids are very welcome and encouraged to participate with the help of an adult chaperone.
