An heirloom from Irkutsk, Siberia, Black Prince is one of the varieties we’ve been growing since our first season in 2010. The plants are manageable and produce very well, but more importantly they are incredibly beautiful with a deep and rich flavor. This unique medium sized salad tomato is a wonderful deep blackish-chocolate brown color on its shoulders where the sun touches it and it fades to a more traditional red on the bottom of the fruit. Tomatoes of this type are referred to as “globe” tomatoes because they are so uniform and round and fit so nicely in the palm of your hand.
