determinate

A beautiful Russian Heirloom tomato that we’ve been selling for a few years now. It’s a small determinant, potato-leafed plant that yield an abundant set of 12-16 ounce beautiful tomatoes that are rich mahogany colored with olive green shoulders when mature. Inside the tomato is deep, reddish green and loaded with excellent, full- bodied, complex, intense, creamy tomato flavors. This is an outstanding tomato for sandwiches and salads. This tomato does really well in mid-sized containers because its a bush type determinate, so if you’re short on space or you don’t want to have to work too hard trellising a determinate like this might be a great fit for you. We have a customer in Miami Shores who comes to our sale every fall JUST to grab this tomato variety, because he cant find it anywhere else and it does amazingly for him in his container garden.
