Frogfruit is one of the most resilient ground cover options we have ever come across, which is why we are so in love with it as a native plant. We will admit that the first time we ever saw it for sale in a nursery we were like "who on earth would buy this plant, it grows everywhere!?" Which is true... if you tune in to frogfruit you'll see that it grows as a "weed" all over town. But, if you don't happen to have some exactly where you want it in your yard than consider buying yourself a few plants so that this fast growing plant can establish itself in your garden. Once you have a nice patch going you can take pieces of it and spread it around yourself, which is what we do to make these plants. We really grew our love for this plant this year while working at the farm. This patch of land is covered in frog fruit and we marveled at how it creates a solid and dense matt of foliage that takes us walking and driving over it constantly, and then it makes cute little flowers that pollinators love!
