Hot Paper Lantern is a habanero type pepper with a Scoville score of 350,000 heat units. While the small dangling red jewels pack a lot of heat they also have a complex flavor that has made them popular with the chefs that buy from our farm. Plants are hardy and grow to be quite large, like small ornamental bushes. Hot peppers are perennials in our tropical climate and we have large plants that are years old and still fruiting.
