The hot heirloom chili from Thailand, these peppers are used in almost every dish in old Siam. Small pointed fruit are easy to dry and bright red in color. The Thais love the pungent heat. Ornamental plants are loaded with fruit and can be harvested for use fresh or dry often. The most unusual traditional recipe we found for these spicy heirloom chilis was for “kochchi sambal”, a salad made using freshly scraped coconut ground with chilis and seasoned with salt and lime juice.
