Donations
Looking for plant donations for a not for profit organization? We prioritize donating plants to projects that have a wide ranging impact on underserved communities throughout Dade & Broward County. Gardens growing food for community use and education that are public facing/ open to the public will receive priority.
The best way to receive plant donations is to contact our new Plant Advocate, Sol via phone at (305)330-6618 or email at sol@littlerivercooperative.com. Sol will explain our system and add you to our weekly plant donation email list so that you receive weekly offers of the plants that are ageing out of our nursery. We prioritize getting these mature plants out to non-profits as donations since they are already large, easy to handle, and made with lots of time and love. We do not require donation receipts for these plants so if you are an informal community plant project, or a school, this option is great for you.
As of December 1st 2023 we are pausing our custom seedling tray donation program, to focus more energy on getting the plants that are already made into the hands of community members. That program will now only be available during Fall, to help get your gardens going. Keep an eye out for a donation form for that next September, 2024.
